Fighting for the Olympics

A small crew accompanies the rowing world champion Jeannine Gmelin during two and a half years in her everyday life, during training, at competitions and in her free time, until she herself gives the answer to the core question of the film in the summer of 2021 in Tokyo: Will she become an Olympic champion? We experience the doubts, hopes, highs and lows of a top athlete who, in addition to 30 hours of training per week, also thinks about the world outside the rowing boat and the weight room.
